Chris Bley

Chris has been the Head Coach for the BAACfins since 2005.  Prior to coaching there he was the Head coach for the Bannister Neighborhood Swim Team in Waldorf, Maryland from 1998-2004 He was an assistant coach for Fort Washington Swim Team from 1995-1997 where he grew up and learned to swim.  He graduated from Salem-Teikyo University, where he swam, in 2000.  He holds a degree in Secondary Ed Biology and currently teaches 8th grade science at Magnolia Middle School.  He is also currently the Head Coach at Joppatowne High School and has coached at Oxon Hill High School before moving to Harford County in 2004.
 

 

Jonathon Johns (JJ)

JJ is beginning his fourth year with BAAC. After completing his Master’s Degree in Education at Goucher College, JJ is also beginning his fourth year as a teacher at Joppatowne High School. JJ was a stand-out high school swimmer at Loyola-Blakefield High School before injuries shortened his college swimming career.

Lisa King

Lisa has been swimming year round since the age of four. She started swimming at Meadowbrook Swim Club in the summer and Jersey Wahoos year round. Both clubs are located in New Jersey. Lisa then moved to Bel Air, entering 9th grade at C. Milton Wright High School. She played field hockey and swam all four years at CMW. She also played lacrosse and ran distance track each for two years. In addition, Lisa also swam for the Bel Air Athletic Club in the summers and year round. Lisa King has been working at BAAC since the age of fourteen, where she is a lifeguard, swim coach, and a private and group swim instructor. Lisa is going into her senior year at York College of Pennsylvania with a major in early elementary education. She also played field hockey and currently swims for the Spartans.

Jack Gottschalk

Jack began swimming on the Rock Spring Swim Club summer swim team when he was 8 years old, in 1999.  He joined the BAAC year round swim team five years later in 2004 and the BAACfins summer team in 2006.  He has competed for his high school swim team for four years, and led them to two Maryland State Championships, earning four individual and four relay state titles.  Jack has been an assistant swim coach for the BAACfins summer team since 2007.  Jack will attend York College of Pennsylvania this fall, majoring in Marketing and German, where he plans to swim for the Spartans.

 

Sarah Keshishian

Sarah Keshishian began swimming as a BAACfin when she was 6 years old.  Since then, she has swam year round for 10 years with BAAC, where she is the athlete team representative and has competed in Maryland State Championships, Zones, and Sectionals.  Sarah has volunteered to help the summer BAAC team for two seasons, and she also coaches lacrosse lessons.  She is entering her Senior year at Bel Air High School, where she plays Varsity Lacrosse and is involved in National Honor Society.
