Are There Any Special Memories You Would Like To Share?
My first few years on the team, I would swim with my head above water because I was afraid to put my face under.  I remember that everytime I raced, instead of diving, I would slide in, and then swim freestyle with my head up, all while my coaches were telling my to put my face under, screaming "FACE!  FACE!  Put your face in!"

I Hope My Legacy Will Be:
I hope to be remembered for my commitment to the team over the years, especially with all the changes that occurred and with many of my friends leaving to go to other teams.

Most Embarrassing Moment As A Swimmer:
Can't think of one

Favorite Practice Set Of All Time:
definitely the hardest set I've ever done is 5x200 Fly, 10x100 Fly, 15x50 Fly, 20x25 Fly

The Most Important Thing I've Learned Through Swimming For My Team:
Swimming is a demanding sport that challenges me both physically and mentally on a daily basis.  It takes a lot of time and commitment, but sticking with it through the tough times gives me confidence to achieve my goals, as well as a great sense of achievement.  It's especially important to rely on your coaches and teammates as well for support and advice.jason loiland

Memorable Coaches' Phrase(s) Or Moment(s):
My high school coach, Mr. Daniel, always told crazy psychology stories to the team.  One in particular was about a track runner, and how he ran hurdles races better than his competitors because he saw the jumps as opportunities, whereas his competitors saw them as obstacles.  Although not everyone on the team understood this comparison, those of us who did were able to apply it to swimming.

Teammate You Learned The Most From:
Shane Kelsey, he taught me the most about how to prepare for races, and what it means to compete.

Favorite Non-Swimming Activity: Music (playing piano)
Favorite TV Show:   Sports Center
Favorite Movie:   Lord of the Rings
